Large Oil Framed for Manchester Church

We arranged the painting of this very high quality reproduction oil on canvas of Albrecht Durer's The Seven Sorrows of the Virgin: The Flight into Egypt on behalf of a church in Manchester, to be their altarpiece.

After stretching the large canvas around custom-made stretcher bars, we then worked with our customer to find a suitably antique-looking gold frame, and paired it with a linen slip.

The final display provides the gravitas the painting deserves without distracting the viewer's attention from the subject matter.
