Here is a high quality reproduction of John Atkinson Grimshaw's Victorian-era landscape Liverpool from Wapping, painted in oils on canvas.

Born in Leeds, Grimshaw left his job as a clerk at the Great Northern Railway to become a painter. He worked in a realistic, almost photographic vein, depicting the rain, mist, puddles and smoky fog of late Victorian industrial England.
