Henry Charles Fox Original Antique Watercolour Henley Bridge framed in Custom Swept Frame

Our customer wanted a reproduction period frame for this original watercolour - Horses And Carts Before Henley Bridge - painted by Henry Charles Fox.

We eventually chose this 2.25" Victorian closed corner frame in a light antique gold colour, with a light grey wash (link below).

H.C. Fox originals are very collectible, so we mounted it using Conservation grade mountboard and undermount., and glazed it using Tru Vue Conservation UV Filter Glass to protect it from fading. Read more about this, and the other types of specialist glass we have available, below.

We were all very pleased with the result; the subtle elegance of the frame is a perfect match for the pale tones used in the painting. It does the artwork justice without drawing the viewer's attention away from the picture.
