Bronze Frame for Bright Watercolour - Bronze Slip

An original watercolour framed using a mount slip moulding as well as a picture frame moulding - both of which are from our Ferrosa collection (links below).

A narrower, more delicate version of a frame moulding, mount slip mouldings can transform framed artwork into something really special and eye catching.

Designed to ‘slip’ underneath a mount, they create extra depth, and can elevate an already impressive display into something even more striking.

Here, the bronze mount slip - surrounding the watercolour - is positioned underneath a wide, bright white mount, which is then encased by the matching bronze frame moulding.

Colourful slips are also a great way to pick out colours in a piece of artwork if you’d prefer to keep the mount a more muted colour. As you can see in this example, the bronze foil finish complements the autumnal colours of the painting beautifully.
