Large Ornate Swept Frame Measuring 4m x 2m

This extra large 'swept' frame, so called due to the 'sweeps' of decoration along the edges of the frame, measured 4m x 2m, and was so large it didn't fit into our Workshop! In fact, it had to be assembled and transported via special courier.

Normally, with larger frames, we advise our customers to choose a moulding which has a wide profile so that once the four lengths have been mitred and joined together, the frame is strong enough to hold the artwork and glass.

However, over the years we have worked with many shop fitters and sign makers who have already fixed their artwork i.e. their sign, to a wall, and simply want to create the illusion that it is framed by placing one of our frames around it.

In this case, the width of the moulding can be much narrower, as it is here.
