Large Frame for Desford Tapestry Project

Five years of work went into this enormous tapestry project brought to us to frame in 2023. Each panel had been intricately hand stitched and tells a story of Desford and Botcheston.

Embroidered by a talented group of locals, the Desford Tapestry is one of our more memorable jobs!

Once we'd stretched and laced the fabric around large pieces of mountboard, we were then able to measure each panel exactly, ready to cut and join the black picture moulding chosen for the frames.

Now the three panels are securely fitted inside their frames with glass on top, and are up on permanent display at Desford Community Library.
