Our customer travelled up from London to bring this poster - measuring a whopping 2.4m x 1.6m - into us for framing!
It's an original poster from the 1932 film, 'Bird of Paradise', directed by King Vidor, and was designed to be displayed in the Paris Metro.
Our customer wanted a simple black moulding as narrow as it could possibly be, given that it would need to be strong enough to hold the overall weight of the finished frame, glass included.
We chose a deep moulding so that the extra depth would offset the narrowness of the width.
We're pleased to say that our customer, having been quoted "astronomical sums by a well-known London framer" described our service as "enthusiastic and friendly", our prices "reasonable", and the end result "first-rate, as the team really took the time to get every detail right".
If you have a large piece of artwork you'd like to display in a frame, you can bring the item to us here in Derbyshire, on the edge of the Peak District, or we can build a frame and deliver it to you anywhere in the UK, for you to fit the artwork yourself at home.
