Framed 1966 Signed England Football Shirt

This football shirt - signed by all members of the World Cup-winning 1966 England squad - was brought into us for framing by a fan who also had the original World Cup program (complete with autographs!) from the game.

We hand stitch all our shirts in place here at Brampton Picture Framing meaning that they are held securely in place but, at the same time, the process is completely reversible should you ever want to remove the shirt from the frame in future.

Although more time-consuming, these are the standards set out by The Fine Art Trade Guild (FATG) - of which we are proud members. Over time, low-cost solutions such as adhesives and tapes can damage your valuable shirt. Also, many low-cost framing kits available online contain just sticky pads or velcro, meaning your shirt can easily slip or fall inside the frame.

We cut a multi aperture window mount to fit everything in and keep it all balanced; and held the autographs in place using a conservation tape so there is no risk of harsh adhesive staining or damaging them over time.
