Framed Honeybee Stamp Collection

This unusual collection of stamps was brought to us by a collector who wanted to display them in a frame rather than a collectors book.

We created a double window mount by placing black mountboard over the top of a 5mm 'reveal' of gold mountboard which is a great way to highlight the detail in the artwork without overpowering it. The stamps are held in place using a conservation framing tape, so no harmful adhesives touch the artwork.

Continuing with the black and gold colour scheme, we chose a black frame with gold detail on the inner edge - 455167246

To finish the frame, we used a low reflective glass - Tru Vue Ultra Vue - which makes a big difference to framed artwork as it reduces reflections to less than 1%, and provides 70% UV protection.
