Framed Fossil of a Fish

Fossils can easily get left on a shelf gathering dust, or even worse, left in a drawer and forgotten about. Our customer wanted their fish fossil framed so it could be hung on the wall and admired.

As the fossil was quite small, we needed to choose a frame and mount which would not dominate and distract from its exquisite detail.

We decided on a black frame with a bevel to draw the eye into the display - 523167000 - and created a triple mount using a layer of whitecore brown mount - to complement the colour of the fossil - sandwiched between two layers of blackcore black mount.
