Delicate Chinese Paper Cut Out Artwork

Our customer found this extremely delicate paper cut out picture during their travels to China, and - once back home - wanted it displayed as well as protected in a frame, as it was far too impressive to stay rolled up in a tube!

Incredibly, this intricate pattern of a traditional Chinese image had been hand cut from a single piece of paper.

Given the nature of the artwork, we weren't able to use any adhesive or tape due to the risk of it tearing or bending, so we secured it in place by pressing it between a piece of glass and an acid-free undermount.

The bright red colour worked well against the bright white undermount next to a glossy black frame, making sure the attention stayed focused on the mesmerising detail.
