Map of Afghanistan - Helmand Province - Double mount

This map was brought in by an Afghan Veteran who served in the 16 Air Assault Brigade - Op Herrick 13 (Oct 10 - Apr 11).

He had this map signed by his fellow servicemen and it was understandably a very important reminder that he wanted to display in the officers' mess.

We chose a simple black frame with a slight bevel, followed by an off white Museum top mount and black core red mount to tie in with the markings on the map.

This frame was finished with Museum standard glass, so there was very little reflection and the map behind was protected from UV damage. Although this glass is quite a lot more expensive, it really is worth it with something this valuable.
