Derbyshire map framed - gold leaf frame

A customer of our brought in this old map of Derbyshire for framing last month.

As the map was printed onto paper which was not bright white, we chose a soft cream mount to ensure it wasn't too harsh of a colour difference.

The customer wanted to keep the frame looking fairly traditional so we chose this bevelled gold leaf moulding which subtly picks out some of the colours in the map.

To finish the frame, we decided to use a low reflective glass (Tru Vue Ultra Vue) which improves the clarity of the artwork and makes a real difference to the frame when it is hanging on the wall.
