Zardozi Embroidery Framed

We have been lucky enough to frame a few pieces of Zardozi embroidery over the years, and never fail to be amazed by the astonishing attention to detail and patience which go into every single one.

Zardozi - an important handicraft in Persian culture - is a type of heavy and elaborate metal embroidery on a silk, satin, or velvet fabric base, using a wide variety of embellishments such as gold and silver wire, pearls, beads and precious stones.

A simple black satin-finish moulding with a bevel from our Soho collection - 345082 - deep enough to accommodate the depth of the fabric and its ornamentation so it didn't touch the glass, was all that was needed to showcase this impressive piece.

If you have a delicate piece of embroidery which you would like to protect and display in a frame, call us on 01246 554338 or email sales@bramptonframing for advice and a no obligation quote.
