When 3D items are brought to us to frame, our first job is to find a moulding with a deep enough rebate to accommodate them.
If this isn't possible e.g. the item is larger than the depth of our box style mouldings, we solve the problem by attaching the deepest box moulding we have to our customer's choice of moulding (in this example, narrow brushed silver) and paint it the same colour or, as in this case, a complementary colour (black, to match the window mount).
Placing the window mount at the front of the frame- using bespoke spacers (also in black) - helps to accentuate the depth of the display, and the deep crimson undermount really makes the white of the artwork pop.
We love finding solutions to framing challenges. Please visit our Showroom in Derbyshire if you have a ceramic you'd like framing.
