Original painting - Period framing

This is a stunning painting brought in by a customer who had it commissioned by an artist to portray their favorite view from home!

It was a very large piece, and the customer wanted a period frame without being too ornate and distracting from the fine detail in the painting. So we chose a frame from our Traditional English Range as these are all handmade to order and we could choose the exact profile and colour to suit the painting. We decided to add a small linen slip to the frame to finish it with crisp lines and also pick out the highlights in the painting.

We are very happy with the result of this framing project - and so is the customer!
