Our customer owned a precious antique sampler, passed down though generations of their family, and they wanted it reframing to museum standards as it was 210 years old and needed protecting.
The sampler was a superb example, very detailed and in beautiful condition.
We suggested the following, a good quality Larson Juhl Canaletto Italian made frame, finished in a gentle gold with a contrasting pewter, a double mount, chosen from the Timecare Heritage Museum range, which is a cotton core mountboard.
This mount offers the very highest level of protection, made entirely from 100% pure cotton fibers, which are lignin free.
Tru Vue Museum glass was used, which offers 99%+ UV filtration as well as a very low level of reflection.
