This delicate 19th century print depicting a stage production of Hamlet, was brought in by an art collector who wanted to frame it in a way which would suit it's age and create a statement piece to hang on the wall!
After looking through a selection of mouldings, we chose this combination which looks really great. The outer moulding was from the Larson Juhl Imperial collection (ref: 373ib) which sat on top of the deep inner frame from the Marais II collection (ref: 457593). Our customer has a great eye for frame design so we were very pleased to be able to work on a frame like this!
The custom mount was cut to fit the shape of the print with curved edges and the frame was finished with a Museum grade glass to protect the artwork from sun damage and also reduce reflections.
We have years of experience handling and framing antique artwork, so please get in touch if you have a similar framing project in mind.
