Born in 1978, Jay began painting at a young age, winning local and national competitions throughout his childhood.

After graduating in Art from University, Jay began a career in his other joint love, magic, although he continued to draw and sketch in his free time.

At the age of 40, Jay decided to leave the performing profession to concentrate on his art.

Since turning professional, his bright and contrasting artwork has generated a worldwide following, and now sells across the globe to collectors in New York, Las Vegas, Milan, L.A, Paris, Cape Town and London. His instantly recognisable pieces combine a unique graphic style against strikingly colourful backgrounds.

Jay often collaborates with celebrities to create official portraits, many of which are counter-signed by the celebrity. Recent ones include Uri Gellar, Derren Brown, and Penn & Teller.
